Rules of the Sheep Shearing Competition. 1. All entrants must be registered members of R.Y.O.T.
2. Each competitor will be allotted one sheep to shear.
3. Time allowed shall be 5 minutes. One point will be deducted for every fifteen seconds over five minutes.
4. A total of 100 points will be allotted to each shearer and points will be deducted in halves and quarters for: - second cuts while the sheep is being shorn, and then for skin cuts and wool left on, immediately after shearing.
5. Hand pieces, combs and cutters have to be supplied by competitors.
6. Sheep for competition shall be supplied by the organisers of the day.
7. All competitors must have previous shearing experience.
8. The judge’s decision will be final.
