In 2011, the members of Kingborough Huon Rural Youth Club will be out in force once again with their Ute Competition, Animal Nursery and Dog High Jump at the Huon Agricultural Show!
To join the Ute Competition, Utes and their owners must be at Huonville High School carpark for registration by 10:00 am (follow the signs from the Huonville roundabout). There are 15 categories that can be entered, accommodating any make of Ute as well as a couple of fun categories. Judging for this competition starts around 11.15am, with great prizes up for grabs! For more details regarding the Ute Competition contact organiser Simone Hayers on 0400 067 435.
The Dog High Jump will be a crowd pleaser again for 2011 no doubt, and hopefully the number of entrants can increase even further from the 24 that entered last year! The competition will commence around 1pm on the main oval and is open for anyone to enter; just remember to keep your dogs on a leash whilst not competing! Fantastic prizes have been arranged for the Dog High Jump—so make sure you and your canine friend are there with smiles, whether it be the Large Dog or Small Dog section that you enter! Cost for entry this year is $5 but every competitor will receive a small prize just for entering!! If you would like more information on this please contact Dale Hayers on 0438 185 185.
Animal Nursery is back again in 2011, providing close up experiences of farm animals for kids big and small alike. Bring the children along to meet the furry, friendly faces!
