Kingborough Huon Rural Youth Club is extremely social!
Recently we had 3 members enter in the Southern Region Bowling Competition, congratulations to Anthony Coad on highest scoring contestant, and to Brighton Rural Youth Club for taking out the trophy for another year!
On Saturday 28 July 2007 the annual Southern Region Young Farmer Runoffs and the Quiz Runoffs were held. We had five Kingborough Huon Rural Youth members enter in the Young Farmer competition and entered one team into the quiz competition
Tom Clark-Hansen, Tom Andrews, Matthew Muir, Dane Fahey and Anthony Coad trying their luck at the Young Farmer Runoffs... With tasks ranging from identifying cow and sheep breeds, determining what mysterious substance was what and whipping cream as well as a couple of financial modules and some other general questionnaires re farming, safety and general knowledge, all had a great time!
Tom Clark-Hansen, Matthew Muir and Dane Fahey entered our club as a Quiz Team with Tom Andrews assisting Oatlands with one member for their team... Although scoring was close, Oatlands took out the Quiz Run off and made it through to State Level.
Coming up socially for Kingborough Huon Rural Youth Club:
We are in the process of planning a four-wheel-drive trip in the upcoming months.
Also on Saturday 11th August 2007 at 2pm onwards we are holding a social afternoon at our clubrooms. This includes doing some work on our animal nursery shed and having a BBQ. Bring your own meat and drinks, club will supply bread and sauce.
