Kate Coad, a member of the Kingborough-Huon  Rural Youth Club was elected the new State President of the Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania Inc., for 2011.  Kate, 25, was elected State President alongside new Senior Vice-President Nerinda Lade and Junior Vice-President Simone Hayers at the Annual General Meeting in March.

Kate has been an active member of the Organisation since she first joined Kingborough Club at the age of 15 and is married to fellow Kingborough-Huon Rural Youth Member and Agfest Chairman, Anthony Coad.  She has been a member of Rural Youth Council and the Agfest Organising Committee for several years, working her way up through the organisation by taking on positions such as  Newsletter Editor,  Membership Director, Promotions Coordinator for both Agfest and Rural Youth, Agfest Personnel Director, Media & Website Director and Functions Coordinator.  Kate is also currently the Treasurer of Property Management Committee. 

Kate and Anthony have two young daughters, almost three year old Victoria and new bub Clare and still manage to find the time to work hard for Rural Youth and Agfest.

Congratulations to  Kate, Nerinda and Simone on being elected to these positions.
