Sarah Gatenby of Ross, is Tasmania's Young Farmer of the Year for 2008 and is only the second female winner since 1985.  She was one of 15 Rural Youth members who competed in the Finals of the Motors-Isuzu Trucks Tasmanian Young Farmer of the Year competition at Quercus Rural Youth Park in September.  Sarah is an agricultural science graduate from the University of Tasmania and is studying for a Masters Degree in Beef Production, while working part-time.
