WANT TO TRAVEL IN 2013

Study Tours selections for trips in 2012 have been done and decided, but there are exchanges on offer include six international, one interstate, a berth on the Young Endeavour Training Vessel, a week at the Rotary Youth Leadership Camp or a self-nominated destination (subject to approval) each year.

For all exchanges, both national and international, airfares are paid for by Rural Youth sponsors and we help to arrange your travel plans.  You are hosted by members of associated organisation, which means most of your accommodation, transfers and meals are at no cost to you.  You will experience real life in another country, not just the tourist hot spots!

You are responsible for organising your own passport and visa, as well as health and travel insurance.  You will need to take along your own spending money and a desire to hae a whole load of fun and make some fabulous new mates.

So, how do I win a study tour?

Apply in writing - Keep an eye out for the application form in the newsletter around May/June.  You will be required to write a short statement showing why you want to win a Study Tour and hour history in Rural Youth.

Attend the Selection Process
You will be required to attend a selection day, which will start with an organised tour on which you will need to write a report.  You will be interviewed on your general knowledge, agricultural and Rural Youth knowledge and you will need to perform a demonstration of your choice (ie roll a swag, edit a photo or ice a cake).  Then come to the State Ball that night where winners will be announced.  Come along and have a go, you never know where you might end up.
