After fighting their way through the regional competition the 15 State Finalists competed for the coveted title of "Motors-Isuzu Young Farmer of the Year Award."

After a full day completing modules such as: crop monitoring, meteorology, ATV operation, marketing, workshop, business management, environmental and home management, whole farm planning and animal industries, then followed by an evening of general knowledge quiz and impromptu public speaking, Sarah Gatenby became the second female to ever win this competition.  Congratulations also to Jamie Burns who came second and Tim Dobson, third.
