Hodgman Liberal Government Pledge to Rural Youth Tasmania
As part of an immense $150 million boost to the agricultural sector, the Hodgman Liberal Government has pledged to continue and increase funding for Rural Youth Tasmania.
If re-elected in March, the Liberals have committed to provide $70 000 to Rural Youth over four years, to further develop rural leadership programs.
Rural Youth Tasmania is very grateful for this generous investment toward the rural training and development programs we offer to our members.
We believe that funding for community organisations and rural training is key to growing Tasmania’s agricultural industry.
This funding will enable us to build on our existing events and programs, such as our upcoming mental health workshop at Campbell Town, as well as to develop new initiatives.
It is vitally important that youth have access to rural industries leadership programs, such as those available through Rural Youth, where we are proud to support the future leaders of Tasmanian agriculture.
Training and development have long been key focuses for our organisation and we are pleased that the Government recognises the value of our contributions to the Tasmanian Community.
