Cooking, Craft and Photography... Rural Roundup is the perfect opportunity to show off your talents to your fellow Rural Youth members.

Have a go – you have nothing to lose and perhaps a prize or two to gain – or learn something new.

Display Competitions – Entries close at 10am on Saturday 12th September at the Rural Youth Function Centre. (May be delivered to Head Office by COB on Friday 23th September.)

Photography – Section 1

Classes;

  • A – Colour Prints
  • B – Black and White Prints
  • C – Enlargements
  • D – Digital
  • E – Panoramic

Categories;

  1. Rural Youth – depicting any Rural Youth activity
  2. Study Tour – set of up to 6 prints that best represent your RY trip
  3. Rural Scene – farming activity, rural landscape
  4. Waterscape – waterfalls, river scenes etc
  5. Landscape – any other scene (not including rural scene or waterscape)
  6. Portrait – Adult, Child or group
  7. Social Scene – depicting any social event -weddings, parties etc
  8. Action Shot
  9. Animal Study
  10. Building Study
  11. Floral/Garden Study
  12. General – any subject not incorporated in any other category

Photography Rules:

  • Photographs must be regular print size – 6x4 or 6x8
  • All photographs to be mounted individually (not framed) on black card
  • Enlargements to be entered in Enlargement Category only
  • Individual photographs may only be entered in one section
  • Entrants name to be placed on the back of the photograph only
  • Entries may be forwarded to Head Office by COB Friday September 23
  • Entrants must be a current financial Rural Youth Member

Recipes

Arts, Crafts & Cookery Rules:

  • All exhibits must be the bona fide work of the entrant.
  • No exhibit that has won a prize in previous RY competitions may be re-entered.
  • All exhibits must be un-used.
  • No single article may be entered in more than 1 class.
  • Classes with less than 3 entries may be combined with another class, at the Directors discretion.
  • The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
  • Exhibits will remain on display until the conclusion of the Young Farmer Dinner.
  • All entrants must be current financial member of the Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania.
